Key West Lobsterfest

Every year, Key West is home to the celebration of the opening of Lobster Season. Key West commemorates their favorite crustacean by throwing a great big party in the Florida Spiny Lobster’s honor. For four days, usually on a weekend, the city of Key West will be home to thousand of lobster and seafood lovers, with lots of fun and activities to do.

The festival will be lined with tons of food stands that will have lobster involved in one of their dishes one way or another. There will be tons of free entertainment, including live bands and concert, while getting to stroll the local artists and vendors of the street fair. Lobster lovers will have a ball with this festival and it has become a staple in Key West culture.

Key West Lobster Boil

The events of the Lobster Fest include an awesome lobster boil, which guests are able to get up to a pound of the boil made. This includes a delicious combo of lobster shrimp andouille sausage, crawfish, potatoes and corn on the cob. Side orders of salad and dressing, and garlic bread are also available. The Lobster Boil is $24.00 for guests to enter, and need to make reservations for a time slot to be seated. This is a boil not to be missed! Key West Lobsterfest Duval Crawl

On the Friday of Lobsterfest, patrons can participate in the Lobsterfest Duval Crawl. This starts immediately after the sun sets, and several hundred other people jump in. Everyone will receive an Official Lobsterfest T-Shirt and surprise souvenir. Anyone participating for the Lobsterfest Duval Crawl will also receive 2 for 1 Coronas and Kraken Rum cocktails. Key West Lobsterfest Street Fair

This is where it all begins. The love of arts, crafts, merchandise, and most of all, lobster, is all rolled into one for this fun-packed day with a family-friendly atmosphere on the Saturday of the festival. Check out the free concert that will be held on the intersection of Duval Street and Greene Street, from 1 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Don’t forget to keep plenty hydrated as August is one of our hottest months in Key West.

Lobster Brunch

To wrap up the delicious Lobsterfest, there will be a Lobster brunch held to conclude the festival. It will be served at the Double Tree - Grand Key Resort from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., and scheduling a reservation is highly suggested.
