Every year, Key West is home to the celebration of the opening of Lobster Season. Key West commemorates their favorite crustacean by throwing a great big party in the Florida Spiny Lobster’s honor. For four days, usually on a weekend, the city of Key West will be home to thousand of lobster and seafood lovers, with lots of fun and activities to do.
The festival will be lined with tons of food stands that will have lobster involved in one of their dishes one way or another. There will be tons of free entertainment, including live bands and concert, while getting to stroll the local artists and vendors of the street fair. Lobster lovers will have a ball with this festival and it has become a staple in Key West culture.
